Ich treibe in Zeiten der Angst,
werde getragen, von Ufer zu Ufer.
Die Strömung hält mich gefangen,
ich kämpfe nicht dagegen an.
Von zähem Schlamm bedeckt,
von der Erkenntnis beseelt,
ergebe ich mich
meinem Stillstand.
Säulen aus Lügengebild'
bauen sich auf zu beiden Seiten.
Höher noch werden die Steine gebracht,
bis ihr Fundament bricht,
- doch ihr Fundament bricht nicht!
Der Fluss verzweigt, ich geh' unter,
ertrinke und lebe zugleich.
Ich lass' mein Leben hinter mir,
vergesse, um vergessen zu sein.
Wähnst du mich verloren?
Wähnst du mich befreit?
Verlierst du dich im Schatten,
oder befreist du dich bereits?
Ich sinke, Ich sinke,
meine Ängste vergeh'n
Ich falle, Ich falle,
Ich falle um aufzusteh'n!
An absolutely amazing album that reaches you to the bottom of the abyss. Gaia takes you by the hand, tells you that you're not alone in this, the pain is over, the misunderstanding of your pain is over and accompanied by keyboards, violins, acoustic guitars, cello and amazing vocals, she pulls you out of the disgusting mire of your mind and together you embark on a journey of melancholy, despondency, hope, pessimism and the seasons. tenebriscaedes
...wandering into a wooded night, the sky flashes unearthly bright, silhouette of an enormous, antlered figure. Your ears may not translate Outlands' building, tribal sounds that coalesce from chants, guitar building from meditative to Earth-shattering riffs, eternal grooves, and a general sense of mysticism, into my own ocular imaginings. You may not see the sky crack open when Szymon Ewertowski and Adrian Gadomski sing that last, guttural "Higher!" Music is subjective. Outlands is incredible. Nicholasw
